The National College of Indigenous Scholars (NCIS) has been gaining momentum since Coordinator Anthony Nickel began in late June. A communication strategy has been drafted, and social media platforms have been created check us out on LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and Bluesky). The NCIS website should be live by the beginning of August.

The NCIS team, comprising Dr. Shauneen Pete 鈥� Dean; Lauren Peterson 鈥� Research Assistant; and Anthony Nickel 鈥� Coordinator, is preparing to establish the first two of three Advisory Circles for Indigenous scholars, with the goal of co-creating Indigenous-led faculty development both within First Nations University of Canada and nationally.

On July 20th, Indigenous faculty and instructors from First Nations University of Canada attended a Faculty Development Plan meeting at the Saskatoon Campus, participating both in person and online. On July 23^rd, 13 Indigenous scholars from across the country attended a virtual gathering hosted by the NCIS. The sessions covered a review of relevant studies and gathered input on faculty development.
